INDIAN HIGH COMMISSIONER PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO BLANTYRE CITY COUNCIL
His Excellency Amararam Gujar, High Commissioner of India to Malawi, paid a courtesy visit to Blantyre City Council CEO, Mr. Dennis Chinseu, on 8 September 2025.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed several important topics focusing on infrastructure development, arts and culture, and environmental conservation.
The discussions reflected the shared commitment of Malawi and India to explore collaborations that will enhance development and improve the well-being of residents of both nations.
His Excellency Amararam Gujar reaffirmed India’s continuous support toward Malawi’s urban development ambitions, while Mr. Chinseu expressed the Council’s appreciation and readiness to work closely on joint initiatives.
Both leaders expressed optimism that the strengthened cooperation will bring meaningful, long-term benefits to the people of Blantyre and the broader Malawi–India relationship.
