VENDORS SUPPORT MAYOR'S ORDERLY TRADING INITIATIVE AT LIMBE MARKET

Vendors at Limbe Market have pledged their support to His Worship Councillor Jomo Osman, Mayor of Blantyre City, following his engagement with business operators to promote orderly trading.

During a media tour of Limbe Market this morning, vendors pledged their support to His Worship Councillor Jomo Osman, Mayor of Blantyre City, following his engagement with business operators on orderly trading. The Mayor encouraged vendors operating in undesignated areas to relocate to designated business spaces to promote sanity and order in the city.

“As Blantyre City Council, we have decided to engage business operators so that we agree on how business should be conducted in the city. We have identified proper trading spaces and are relocating vendors to ensure order,” said His Worship Councillor Jomo Osman.

One of the business operators at Limbe Market, Esterly Nasiyaya, welcomed the initiative, saying, “We are happy with the Mayor’s approach. He engaged us well, and we have agreed to relocate to the designated places so that business is done in an orderly manner.”

Blantyre City Council commends the vendors for their cooperation in promoting a clean and orderly business environment.
