To lead in administrative excellence, promoting efficient, transparent and citizen-oriented governance at Blantyre City Council.

Processing permissions for activities such as big walks, promotions, rallies, crusades, parades, and media shoots.
Providing printing services to all Council departments.
Managing the Council Library where staff search for information from available books.

Providing effective Public Relations services to promote openness.
Coordinating engagements with Sister Cities.
Communicating with journalists, editors, and media houses.

Coordinating implementation of Council meeting resolutions.
Servicing Council and committee meetings.
Supporting Council members.

Upholding governance and ethical conduct.
Providing proactive advice on strengthening controls and processes.
Coordinating investigations into fraud, corruption, and malpractice.

Protecting organizational assets through insurance programs.
Leading insurance renewal processes for cost-effective policy cover.
Arranging insurance programs through appointed brokers.
Promoting a risk management culture within the organization.

Supervising movement of Council vehicles.
Preparing COF and fleet maintenance schedules.
Processing accident reports and claim forms.

Protecting Council properties and enforcing city bylaws.
Conducting day and night patrols in Blantyre and Limbe zones.

Facilitating procurement of goods and services for the Council.
Facilitating disposal of Council assets.

Providing technical assistance and systems support.
Supporting user services.
Managing organizational systems including email and business software.
Evaluating systems to identify areas for improvement.
