Maize Distribution Exercise In Blantyre City
In order to address hunger in the country, the Government through the Department of Disaster Management Affairs (DoDMA) is distributing maize in all the districts, towns, municipalities and cities.
Currently, maize distribution to households facing hunger under the Lean Season Food Insecurity Response Programme is under way in Blantyre City.
The Programme commenced on Tuesday, 12th March, 2024 and is expected to close on Tuesday, 16th April 2024. The total number of beneficiary households for this year are 34,000. These vulnerable households are from various wards in the City.
