New ward Councillors pose with secretariat staff

The newly elected Ward Councillors on Friday, June 28 2019, took oath of office at a beautiful swearing ceremony held in the Main Chamber. Accompanied by spouses and other relations, Councilors took turns in saying "So help me God" amid ululation. 23 Councillors and eight Members of Parliament will meet on July 19, 2019 to elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.

Blantyre City Council in partnership with Technical, Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education Training Authority of Malawi (TEVETA) celebrated shoe making training graduation on April 26, 2019.
