Intention to Refer Names in Defaulters of City Rates to Credit Data Reference Bureau
The Council is informing all property owners in Blantyre City that in line with the Credit Reference Bureau Act intends to refer names of owners of properties that have been in default of city rates to Credit Data reference bureau.
Property owners are therefore being urged to urgently pay their outstanding city rates bills to avoid being referred to the bureau and subsequently having challenges to access support from financial institutions.
