Red Star Campaign takes effect

Blantyre City Council is pleased to inform the public that some developers whose structures were marked with a red star have started demolition.

This has happened as the period for voluntary demolition of dilapidated buildings is coming to an end on 29th February 2016.
The Council is urging those that have not taken action to do so immediately.
The Council is also appealing to developers that have drawn action plans to bring them forward for a roundtable discussion. Red Star will be implemented without failure.
