Vacancy: Assistant Enforcement Officer
Blantyre City Council is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Enforcement Officer.

Position : Assistant Enforcement Officer
Grade : M10/S4
Reporting To : Security Officer
Qualifications : Applicants Should Posses A Full Malawi Schools Certificate of Education. Those with a Diploma in Security Services will have an added advantage. Must have served in the Malawi Police Service as a Constable for not less than five years
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in developing weekly zonal plans of operations
- Conducts shift handover procedures at the start and end of shift to ensure or note all matters of concern occurring during a shift are passed on for the purposes of service and incident management continuity
- Prepares to relocate from site to site and work at any location operated by Blantyre City Council Security Services at short notice or for a designated period of time and across various shift patterns as required.
- Conducts routine anti-vending patrols within the allocated zone in the City
- Supervises the demolition exercises of illegal structures within the city
- Maintains a record of all confiscated properties from illegal entities
- Supervises the disposal of all confiscated properties in line with Council procedures
- Assists in liaising with stakeholders regarding security and anti-vending matters in the city
- Conducts spot checks on all Council premises to ensure standard security services
- Maintains a duty roster for security rangers under his/her supervision
- Assists in producing monthly reports for the security section
